Yeah, it's not really great at the moment. If you go to the Recent Pages page, you'll see at bar near the top that what shows is "Wiki Activity". Next to that, you can select "Social Activity" to check new messages, etc.

Section now renamed to "Sampler", but continuing to add entries that seem to belong. Any suggestions on who else should be added?

Had a bit of a rethink and front page reshuffle - taking renamed Legends List (now the less grandiose "Peel People") to a tabber box on the left - on grounds that it was unbalancing the page and difficult to read as a massive block in the right column. Hope new arrangement seems OK.

PS Wondering if something a bit less "hall of fame" might be better, given the ever-expanding length of the "legends list" (my fault). Maybe "Main Cast" or "Central Cast" (ie, those with major/important roles in life and show of JP) or something like that. Any suggestions?

On the general subject of cranking out large numbers of session artist pages (such as the remaining 20 or so for those beginning with A), struck me that this kind of thing might be best split between a number of people, as a kind of "factory production", in order to make relatively speedy progress and avoid any one individual getting too overwhelmed and discouraged.

For example:

Editor 1 - starts page (using new artist template), adds intro para or two from Wikipedia (or similar), including links, credits, pic, etc.

Editor 2 - adds session details (using info from BBC Peel site, if available, checked against Ken's book, or just straight from the book), including official releases info, from the Peel Sessions Releases page.

Editor 3 - fills in show plays, any live performances, links to Peel, vid and anything else remaining.

Just a thought. Above example of three-way "tasks split" obviously open to adjustment depending on what people want to do.

Also suggest adding a "Session Artist Stub" category when the initial page is created, so everyone can see where we are, which could be cut from the page once everything is done.

Anyone want to have a go with remaining "A" session artists (or maybe a test first 10)?

New system uses "input boxes" rather than the old "create boxes", which seemed to go defunct among assorted Fandom changes. Prefer use of boxes to clunky copying and pasting of templates, which has been offered as a alternative until now.

Update: have adjusted the wiki code and Twitter feed seems back to normal.

Further to accessing the latest discussions, the top left Explore dropdown menu has "Discuss" at #2 down.

Re link: went for Discussions Boards in the end. Hope seems OK.

Change the link name to John Peel Wiki Feed (JPW Feed?)?

Have added a Community Feed link in the Help>>Navigation top dropdown menu, for easier access. Think the feed panel often turns up at the bottom of wiki pages (among assorted links to pages on other wikis, etc).

On the Recent Changes page, what comes up is the regular pages that have had edits ("Wiki Activity"), but there's also a tab for "Social Activity" where chat stuff comes up.
