- First of a week of programmes celebrating ten years of Peel shows (on/and Radio One), each featuring an hour of choices by one listener. For this time, we are told the selections of "Stephen R Cook" take about an hour and a quarter, so his choices will start around 10.45. In the event, this works out to be from the fourth song of this edited tape.
- Bemoans tendency of listeners to have just one token song by a woman, either Joan Armatrading or Joni Mitchell. This time, it's the later.
- Comments that relatively few of the listeners had submitted lists with songs from 1974, 1975 and 1976. Suggests that "perhaps historically that will turn out to have been rather a fallow period."
- Ken Garner's The Peel Sessions (p.220) mentions a play for Sham 69's 'Ulster'.
- Final 28 minutes of second file contain start of another "Listeners Choices" show. See 04 October 1977.
