- Pete Drummond hosting as JP is ill. He handled most of the show competently, but was out of his depth interviewing poet Patric Dickinson, who didn't belong to the younger generation of poets usually featured on Night Ride. This led to a few embarrassing moments (Memory of listener Granger354).
- David Ackles' "Down River" was also issued as a single.
- The Steve Miller Band track was from a soundtrack (non-needletime) LP which became a Night Ride favourite with tracks also being played in the second hour of the show. It also featured early recordings by Quicksilver Messenger Service and Mother Earth. The film, a documentary about San Francisco hippies[1], may never have been released in the UK, although the soundtrack LP was.
- Tracklisting thanks to Tim Joseph
