  • Three tracks played from the new Mahavishnu Orchestra / John McLaughlin album, featuring 17 minutes of "e-mu synthesizer/sequencers, frequency shifters, customized mini-moogs, 360 systems frequency shifters, Steiner-Parker synthesizers, congas, sleigh bells and guitars."
  • Two from Maldwyn Pope, respectively recorded before and after his voice broke.
  • Peel has borrowed the Dr. Feelgood With The Interns record he plays from the BBC Library, becoming the first person in 13 years to do this, and wishes he could take it home with him.
  • Two different songs called "Rain" are played, by Status Quo (new) and the Beatles (ten years old). On the latter track, JP recalls amazement at the time about the backward tape section at end.
