- "Hello again friends, this is another John Peel's Music On BFBS."
- John apologises for sounding hoarse, but he has just driven through the night from Glastonbury, which he admits to not enjoying very much due to the mud.
- Peel plays both sides of the Al Ferrier single, gifted to him by Bob from DM Bob & The Deficits and found in John Peel's Record Box after his death.
- Towards the end of the show, John confesses to disliking making list of favourite records, but then relents enough to play a track from the Rolling Stones' debut release: he praises its "rubbery" sound. Note the track that follows.

I'm supposed to be writing some sleeve notes in fact for a compilation of Fall things taken from the Radio One programmes: I have to admit it's my fault (you can see this on the web if you bother to check)...that the record hasn't been released because I haven't written the notes for it yet. I've been a busy boy, I have to say.')
