  • Not much of this show survives on the C120 because the main portion was taped over with an episode of '25 Years Of Rock'.
  • Bizarrely, one of the few tracks that survives is a very un-Peel track by Raven, possibly one of the few NWOBHM bands that got played (as they were mostly championed by Tommy Vance on his Friday Rock Show). In a 2019 interview, Raven bassist/vocalist John Gallagher claimed that the band won a support spot on Ozzy Osbounre’s first solo tour after the former Black Sabbath singer heard them on the Peel show.[1]

(JP: '...was woken up by a young woman in a leather mini-shirt tickling my feet, and as I'd never seen her before and I hadn't had my feet tickled in years, I assumed I must have passed on, but happily from my point of view, I hadn't. The young woman turns out almost inevitably to be in a band, and here's tonight's programme, starting with Blurt.')

(JP: 'I've been into a pub in Banbury which has got a large picture of Terry Wogan up on the wall. Not sure if that indicates the kind of life that people live in Banbury, but anyway there you are.')
