  • A short extract from the start of this show appears on the 7" single 'A Day in the Life of Radio One' released on BBC Records as part of Radio One's 21st Birthday celebrations in 1988, [1] and in the second part of 21 Years Of Radio 1.
There is a pause following the Greenwich Time Signal:
JP: "Well, I don't know what's happened there, we're supposed to have a little jingle, you see, that comes charging in, and says, er, 'It's Wednesday, and it's Sounds of the Seventies, and tonight it's Dancing Jack Peel', that's what it's supposed to say, but, er - I'll tell you what, we'll do it now ...(jingle plays)...A fine start, I think you'll agree, to practically any programme. On this week's programme we have Ralph McTell, Home and Stackridge, and musically there's really only one way to start."
  • At present, no further details of the show are known, other than which sessions were broadcast (Ken Garner, The Peel Sessions, p.213).
