  • It sounds like John did not get picked for the football team, again.
  • A single Peel link has been found that includes a reference to a session track by Uncle Dog. The date is most likely the session's first transmission 16 November 1972. Many thanks to Steve for dates.
  • The link was found on tape of show 17 December 1979 but this is all that remains of this show.
  • Session guests Holy Mackerel are presumably the British band of that name (from Kent) who had recently recorded their debut album for CBS[1]

JP: "I must admit it's quite hurtful really, 'cos each week I turn up in my boots and shorts and things and stand around, and then get told to go home, 'cos I'm unwanted. Hurts me. Anyway that was Clifford T Ward with one of his own songs. Perhaps my favourite from his LP 'Singer Songwriter' and it's called 'Anticipation'. Taking us up to the news another one from Uncle Dog and it's called 'We Got Time'."
