- As Peel notes in his introduction, it's 'Radio One in the East Midlands' week [1]. Most of his colleagues are broadcasting their programmes from Nottingham or Derby, but he's "been left behind again here in London with only Mike Read for company."
- All three tracks played from the new Undertones single. 'My Perfect Cousin' is dedicated to three lads he met on Saturday night in The One Bull pub in Bury St Edmunds.
- John mentions having been on Round Table with Pete Townshend and Nick Lowe the previous week.
- JP announces that the best thing he watched on television all weekend was Sgt. Bilko!
- The XL Capris single was subsequently discovered in John Peel's Record Box.
- Full tracklisting below is courtesy of the John Peel Papers. Many thanks to the uploader to the John Peel Papers at Facebook for sharing the information. [2]
