  • Peel gives out the results of a readers poll from Sounds magazine:
  • Favourite Person Category: #1 Bob Geldof, #2 Wayne Hussey, #3 Morrissey ('who also interestingly comes 8th in the tyrant section of the poll'), #4 Cliff Burton ('and none of us here in the studio have the slightest idea who Cliff Burton is')[1], #5 Terry Waite, #6 Fish of Marillion, #7 John Peel ('well it's little old me'), #8 Kenny Dalglish ('the greatest footballer in the world of course'), and down at #10 Siouxsie of Siouxsie & The Banshees ('the only woman whose rated amongst the persons')
