Peel mentioned in Margrave of the Marshes and elsewhere that Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee weren't among his favourite blues artists, despite their popularity with audiences during the folk revival of the 1950s and '60s. Nevertheless they were booked for a Peel session when they visited Britain in 1973.
