According to Ken Garner's The Peel Sessions, Gasworks didn't have much success at BBC audtions, failing two of them, with one panel member describing their efforts as "a saddening waste of time". Despite this, they did a second session for Peel in 1973.

5) Many thanks to Colin Harper. Found on a file named "Night Ride mid 1968 Roger McGough plus one other (high speed)". The Roger McGough track was separated into its own file. "High speed" refers to the fact that the raw file was playing back at 200% normal speed likely as a result of the wrong ips setting on the reel to reel.
