- Five from Generation X's new LP, three from those of Kevin Coyne and Steve Hillage.
- First track of the night is the new Members single. The song later inspired the name of Peel's 1999 TV series Sounds Of The Suburbs, which used a cover version by Samurai Seven as its theme tune.
- Members of the Undertones visit Peel in the studio during the show, adding a rather chaotic element to proceedings. They have come from Maida Vale where they have been recording a session for the programme.

- ↑ First two Hillage tracks are unrecognized by John Peel Papers, but it is assumed here that Peel plays the first three tracks from the ‘Live Herald’ LP. John Peel Papers lists the third one played only as ‘Hurdy Gurdy Man’.
