  • First of six shows featuring the legendary, 1976 Festive Fifty, the first ever.
  • The Rod Stewart concert was mentioned in Record Mirror as one of the Radio 1 Christmas highlights.[1] In his Sounds column of early January 1977, however, Peel states that he was "a trifle disappointed" with the concert, and that "the whole bsuiness lacked conviction".[2]
