- The following day, on the Alan Freeman afternoon show, Alan parodies John's sombre announcement: "Oh and by the way music-lovers, for those of you who were expecting to hear the new rock version of Peter And The Wolf today, I've gotta tell you that through no fault of the record company, we're unable to play it for you today. We shall instead, be bringing you the whole of Mike Oldfield's new album, Ommadawn. OK? But will shall be playing Peter And The Wolf in a future programme"
- Ommadawn would eventually be featured the following Wednesday 29 October 1975, but not before being previewed the previous night as "37 minute Golden Gasser from a Mouldy Oldie" and being relegated to the Disinterred 33 1/3 slot on the night.

John announces Allman Brothers, Ivor Cutler, Rod Stewart & The Faces, Gong, Keith Poppin, the Steve Miller Band, the Bronagh Brothers, Undisputed Truth, the Who, Shack (perhaps Chicken Shack?), and Laurel and Hardy with the Avalon Boys featuring Chill Wills. Quite an extended Grinderswitch intro.
