- Comments
- The date when Peel broadcast the Sex Pistols' début in its entirety in the last hour of his show, four days prior to its official release. Songs were played back to back with no links. Some were not recorded: these are marked §. Interestingly, JP seems to have played the tracks in a different order to the release, therefore the original position on the album is appended next to each for comparison.
Sessions[]
- Subway Sect, #1. Recorded 1977-10-17. Available on A Retrospective 1977-81 (Rough Trade).

- (JP: 'And there you have it, the Sex Pistols' LP and as you can have heard if you were listening to the programme, all four singles are on it, but still an LP well worth having nevertheless. On tonight's programme you heard a session from the Subway Sect, tomorrow night it'll be the turn of the Only Ones and Steel Pulse, two good sessions from them, and Wednesday night's programme, in case you can't make tomorrow night's, is an all-record programme. Hope you'll be able to hear them both, though, and thanks very much for listening to this. Goodnight.')
- (midnight news with Robin Boyle: TUC leaders have told Dennis Healey what they hope to see in his mini-budget)
