  • Tracklisting below is from Volume 2(ii) of the Decktician Logs. Many thanks to Decktician, Ken Garner for copying and additional information, and Rocker for acting as central HQ.
  • First known play of the privately pressed debut album of Bill Nelson, subsequently of Be Bop Deluxe, Red Noise, etc.
  • Plays for both Soft Machine and Matching Mole, the new band of former drummer Robert Wyatt. The Matching Mole song, which closes the programme, soon became a Peel favourite and would subsequently appear at #46 in the 1976 Festive Fifty, the first ever.
  • Show includes two tracks from Everything Stops For Tea, the new album by “Long” John Baldry. Baldry's career was reviving after the success of two former members of his mid-1960s band Steampacket, Elton John and Rod Stewart, who jointly produced the LP and contributed to some of the tracks. One of Baldry's session tracks is followed by a cover version of Stewart's "Mandolin Wind", by the Everly Brothers.
