First hour and a bit of two hour show. JP says that between 11pm and midnight he will be playing Cigarettes, Foreign Press, Flying Lizards, Angelic Upstarts, Gerry & The Holograms, Stiff Little Fingers, Teardrop Explodes, Cockney Rejects, Ry Cooder, Buzzcocks and Roses Are Red. Only last two of these appear on the currently available file.
Undertones' 'Here Comes The Summer' is #39 in the national singles charts, Buzzcocks at #35. (link to Top 75)
Reports that there's a plague of greenflies in East Anglia.
Plays top three singles in the alternative chart of Sounds magazine without interruption, starting from Adam & The Ants (at #1).
After "Getting Beaten Up" by The Piranhas, John comments that the last person who wanted to beat him up was a Sex Pistol.
The Gratis track is dedicated to The Pig as it's said to be her current favourite record.
