  • The Fairport Convention session signalled their move towards an electric version of British folk music and away from American-influenced folk-rock All of the session tracks were traditional material (three of them appeared on the classic album Liege & Lief, released in December 1969) and Peel was impressed, comparing them with the first electric blues recordings.
  • Show begins with a cover version of the Kinks' "Tired Of Waiting For You" from an album by American jazz-rock band Flock.
  • Jack Bruce's song "Weird Of Hermiston" takes its title from Robert Louis Stevenson's novel Weir Of Hermiston, sometimes described as an "unfinished masterpiece"
