- This was the sixth of seven programs hosted by John Peel in 1985, on this occasion he was accompanied by regular co-host Janice Long. This was the week's singles chart.
- Former Peel session artists featured on the show were Bryan Ferry (formerly of Roxy Music), Madness and UB40. Also in the charts were Billy idol (formerly of Generation X) and The Cure.
