- The David McCallum track, originally a 1966 single, is indeed by the actor who played Russian secret agent Illya Kuryakin in the 1960s TV series The Man From U.N.C.L.E., as noted by Peel. He promises further tracks from the same newly released compilation in future programmes, as long as he remembers.
- Peel says has received letters from two World Service listeners this week – both of them get dedications.
- The 1968 Fleetwood Mac track is played to mark the comeback of the band’s former guitarist Peter Green. Peel admits that he wrote the original album’s “rather appalling” sleevenotes.[1]
