
Aleksi Perälä is a Finnish electronic artist, born in 1976, who has been an independent producer and an electronic music composer for over 20 years. He has released records under the names of Ovuca, Astrobotnia and Allu-Pallu.

Peel first discovered Ovuca in late 1999 and played tracks from his debut album. Further material from the artist was played on his shows, along with his Astrobotnia stage name. Peel nominated Ovum's albums, 'King Stacey' and 'Wasted Sunday', as one of his records of the months for March 2000 (Peel's Record Box) and January 2002 (Peel's Record Box).
