Arson Garden was a melodic alternative rock band from Bloomington, Indiana, active from 1987-1994. April Combs was their charismatic singer, whose wit and distinctive voice helped win the band a reputation as a live act not to be missed. April’s brother James Combs played guitar and wrote much of the music. Joby Barnett was AG’s singular, inventive drummer, whose work complimented the imaginative bass playing of Clark Starr. Michael Mann brought a pallette of catchy guitar hooks and feedback landscapes to round out the group’s sound.

The band released a self-titled cassette, three LPs, two singles and an EP during their lifespan.

According to available playlists, Peel played tracks from their debut LP "Under Towers" during 1990. The band was invited for a session at Maida Vale 5 during December 1990. The session was later broadcast in February the following year. After their session, no more of their material seems to have been played on the show, likely due to a lack of availability of their music in the UK.
