Broken Glass were an 80's UK breakdance crew with two members, Kermit and Fiddz, hooking up with Manchester radio DJ Greg Wilson and his musician friends Martin Jackson (Magazine) and Andy Connell (A Certain Ratio). Morgan Khan, owner of the Street Sounds compilation label, was impressed by their work and persuaded them to put together more tracks for a UK Electro compilation.
To give the impression of a thriving hip-hop scene in the UK, Morgan then proceeded to invent bogus artists (Zero-O, Synchbeat and Foreveraction) and writer credits to use on this compilation. The resulting album is all the work of this group apart from one track by The Rapologists.
Links to Peel[]
Peel played their only single in the summer of 1984, but also had them do a session in that year under the name of Synchbeat. Kermit later joined Ruthless Rap Assassins, who gained a session and airplay from Peel in the late 80's and early 90's.
