Can Can Heads are a Finnish fringe music band founded in Kauhajoki, Finland in 1993. The band was founded by drummer Janne Mäki-Turja, bassist Harri Joensuu and guitarist Raine Liimakka. In 1999, Tomi Nuotio took over as bassist and saxophonist Janne Martinkauppi was also established in the line-up. The band were influenced by Finnish artists such as Circle, Deep Turtle and Radiopühelimet, as well as foreign artists such as Captain Beefheart, Minutemen, The Ex, God Is My Co-Pilot, Thinking Fellers Union Local 282, Jesus Lizard and Pavement. The band played their last gig at Helsinki's Bar Loose in 2022 before going on hiatus.

Peel seemed to have discovered the group in late 1998 via the various artists compilation album, 'Limited'. Further tracks from the group were played on his radio programmes, including on 09 May 2001, where he presented the show from Finland.
