John Peel – A way of life from 10-12 The following pages are from my fifth book of John Peel playlists from the 29th April – 25th September 1980, written at the time (the first four books are missing).  My comments are as wayward as some of my spellings – although if challenged I would claim that Metal Urban is the correct spelling, even though I know that it isn’t, and that I have always loved The Birthday Party, even though my Peel book might suggest otherwise; I guess after thirty years some tastes will change and others will remain the same.
