Chinese Gangster Element were an 80's English indie rock band from Halifax originally consisting of:
- Fiona Mcbean (Keyboards, Vocals)
- Mick Haymer (Bass)
- Andrew Greaves (Guitar, Backing Vocals)
- Kevin Greaves (Drums)
The band released a track on the various artists' Enemies Of The State in 1984, but it was only until 1986, that they released a single on their own. After that, they faded away.

The band were a particular favourite of Peel and they did a session for his show in 1984 before releasing any records of their own. They were invited by Peel to the ICA Rock Week in 1984 to perform at the Institute Of Contemporary Arts in central London.
