Harald Blüchel (born February 19, 1963) is a German electronic artist who is mostly known under his alias Cosmic Baby. Blüchel is also well known for his participation in dance acts such as Energy 52 with Paul Schmitz-Moormann and The Visions of Shiva with Paul van Dyk. In 1991, Blüchel first appeared as "Cosmic Baby" in live acts. That year he signed with trance label MFS, where he released his first album Stellar Supreme in 1992. In 1992 he also paired up with Paul van Dyk for the project "The Visions of Shiva" under which name two EPs came out, Perfect Day (1992) and How Much Can You Take? (1993). The two then later went their separate ways. In late 1993, Blüchel left MFS and signed onto Logic Records, a record label owned by BMG. (read more on wikipedia)

Peel first played Cosmic Baby's work via the MFS label in 1992 and would play some of his material until the mid 90's. He also played some tracks from The Visions Of Shiva, a collaboration between Harald and Paul van Dyk, who the latter got airplay on his shows in the mid 90's.
