Deee-Lite

Deee-Lite was an American house and club/dance group and first comprised of producer Super DJ Dmitri (Dmitry Brill), singer Lady Miss Kier (Kierin M. Kirby) and keyboard player Towa Tei (Dong-hwa Chung). The group was famous for their only top ten hit single "Groove Is In The Heart", which made it to number 2 in the UK Singles Chart in 1990. The group disbanded in 1996 and is considered by most critics as a "one hit wonder" ([1], [2], [3], [4]).

Peel claimed that he discovered this group and played their tracks from their debut album before anyone else did. The group's "Groove Is In The Heart" song also made it to the 1990 Festive Fifty at number 44. However he never played any of their later albums, which were considered flops in sales and quality of music by most music critics [5], [6]
