Various – Bllleeeeaaauuurrrrgghhh! - The Record FULL COMP.
Bllleeeeaaauuurrrrgghhh! was the onomatopedic title given to a series of three 7-inch grindcore compilation EPs, each played at 33rpm, released during the 1990s by the Slap A Ham label of San Francisco.
As proudly proclaimed on their covers, the records contained 41 bands and 64 songs, 52 bands and 69 songs, and 73 bands and 84 songs, respectively.

A huge grindcore fan, Peel was quick to pick up on the first EP in the Bllleeeeaaauuurrrrgghhh! series and played multiple tracks from all three of the records. As noted by Peel show book author David Cavanagh, the first compilation was an ideal fit for the “Uproar Break” mid-programme feature the DJ introduced in 1991 for refreshing blasts of grindcore and death metal.[1]
The DJ was no doubt attracted by the extreme brevity of the tracks deployed on the EPs, which wasn't unusual for such music, and seemed to take particular delight in anouncing the series title on air. The long list of bands featured on the records included session artists such as Agathocles, Extreme Noise Terror, Melt-Banana and Melvins.
Peel also played many other Slap A Ham releases.[1]
