Eggs

Eggs was an American indie rock band from Washington, DC founded by Andrew Beaujon, who originally helped start Teen-Beat record label with Mark Robinson at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. The band was active in the early to mid 1990s and are perhaps the only band to ever mix horns with indie-pop.

Links To Peel[]

The group did a session for Peel's show and their music was played quite regularly on his show in the early 90's. Peel criticised critics who argued that they sounded like the Velvet Underground where he said on his 08 March 1993 (Ö3) show that 'the first person to say, "Wow! It's just like the Velvets!", dies.'
