The South Bank Show was an art documentary series broadcast on ITV from 1978 to 2010. Peel appeared in an early episode in 1978, where he was in the studio reviewing Bob Marley's live concert film.[1] He also appeared in another episode, first broadcast in 1987, where the programme looked into the band The Smiths which he was featured as one of the participants.
