Ghazzy Musical Club is a Tanzanian Taarab music club, founded by Ali Buesh on the Tanzanian island of Zanzibar in 1964. The club promotes Taarab music, a genre popular in Tanzania and Kenya. It is influenced by the musical traditions of the African Great Lakes, North Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent. There are many musical clubs on Zanzibar that promote Taarab music, whose songs have gone on to several world music compilation albums.
