
Gibson Bros was an American alternative rock band, active between the late 80's and early 90's from Columbus, Ohio, consisting amongst others Jon Spencer and his wife, Cristina Martinez, who have both worked together in Pussy Galore and The Honeymoon Killers. Other members over time included Dan Dow, Don Howland, Ellen Hoover, Jack Taylor, Jeffrey Evans, Jon Spencer and Rich Lillash. Both Dan Dow and Rich Lillash would later work together as part of the Bassholes.

Peel first played Gibson Bros in January 1991 on his radio programme via the 'Punk Rock Truck Drivin' Son Of A Gun' album, which was shared with the Workdogs. Later records from the band were played by the SJ until 1993 by which time the band had split up.
