
Guitar Wolf (Japanese: ギターウルフ) is a Japanese garage rock power trio founded in Tokyo in 1987. The band is known for songs with piercing vocals and an extremely loud style of noise-influenced punk which emphasizes heavy distortion and feedback. All the members of the band use the alias Wolf as their surname, who consist of Guitar Wolf, Drum Wolf and Bass Wolf.

A band that Peel seemed to discover in 1993 and would often play on his shows until his death in 2004. On his 03 September 1994 show he mentioned that the band's label was his favourite, especially their name, Bag Of Hammers, who were from Seattle in the American state of Washington.
