Changes to the look of John Peel Wiki will take place in the near future due to a new skin being rolled out over Oct/Nov across Wikia. Please see the Wikia Staff Blog for further details. On this site, the changes will affect the navigation from the left menu, as well as introduce a fixed page width with narrower content space. Please be patient while adjustments are made for the switch to the new system.

UPDATE: As the change is now in force for some users, I have switched the navigation to the simplified one for the new system. Please check Navigation in the Help section if you can't find things. I also initially made small adjustments to the front page layout, but have now reverted to the old look until all users are on the new system.

COUNTDOWN: Just a reminder for people still using Monaco that the final switch to the new skin is due on Nov. 3. After that, it will no longer be offered as an option. Sorry. Nothing to do with me.

Hakan Lidbo

Håkan Lidbo (real name: Nils Johan Håkan Lidbo), born on July 20, 1965 in Fosie, Malmö, Sweden, is an electronic artist who has over 30 years of experience as a pop and dance music producer and has more than 350 records in his discography, from techno and house, via pop to obscure sonic experiments. He's also managed the Swedish record labels MNW Dance and Left < > Right Recordings, and did remixes and co-production work with artists like Fatboy Slim, Yello, Depeche Mode, Kool Keith, etc. Currently, he runs Container Recordings and continues to augment his prolific output.

Peel first played Hakan's material in December 2001 on his show via his single, 'Bad Girls Go To Hell'. The single was one of his records of the month for December 2001 (Peel's Record Box). He would play further material from the musician on his shows, including a DJ mix he recorded for his programme in 2004 and also nominated his Clockwise EP, as one of his records of the month for May 2004 (Peel's Record Box) and June 2004 (Peel's Record Box).
