Joy-3
In the 23rd February 1974 issue of Sounds, he reviewed Isaac Hayes' Joy single for Singles Reviews, where he mentioned the following:
"Normally when Isaac appears on any turntable within a five mile radius of where one happen to be lurking, I recall pressing business in Dumfries and leave hurriedly. On this occasion not only did I stay but I also enjoyed. I would venture to say that this is the best record I've heard from Ike and a few more of these and I might be able to overlook all that shirt of chains buffoonery."
Isaac performed at the 2002 Glastonbury Festival, which Peel presented on TV.
