Jon E Cash is a West London artist who invented his own sub-genre of UK Garage called Sub-Low. He first started out in a rap group called Construction in the late 80's and then formed a record label called the Black Ops, where he released his own material as well as other artists.
Links to Peel[]
Peel played Jon E Cash's Construction rap group on his shows in 1990 where he played their Sudden Impact track during April of that year. In February 2004, Peel gave airplay to Jon E Cash's material on his show and would then play further material from the artist including nominating his Roller Coaster single as one of his recommended records for August 2004 (Peel's Record Box). After Peel's death in 2004, Jon E Cash did a session mix to pay respect to JP on the Keepin' It Peel radio programme broadcast on 16 December 2004.
