Kaos was an American hip hop group consisting of producers Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez and Todd Terry and rapper, King Grand (Russell D. Cole). They released their debut album , 'Court's In Session', in 1988 and a follow up, 'International Dope Dealers (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)' in 1993 after the German Cologne based hip hop group, Blitz Mob (Fader Gladiator, Future Rock Rick Ski and DJ Grope) wanted to collaborate with Kaos and tracked down the group in New York City, where they collaborated and produced an album with them.
Links to Peel[]
Peel was impressed by the group's debut album, that on his 06 April 1988 show, he described it as an 'LP of the year, well certainly an LP that should be in every home.' He would play tracks from the album on his radio programmes in the spring of 1988. However, their follow up album did not gain any interest from Peel and was never played on his radio programmes. After his death in 2004, it was later found out that he had a copy of their debut album in his Record Collection: K.
