Laika was an experimental British band founded in 1993 by Margaret Fiedler and John Frenett, both formerly of Moonshake, and producer and engineer Guy Fixsen. The band was named after the Russian dog Laika, the first animal to orbit the earth. The group released four studio albums and several singles before disbanding in 2003.
