Lance Gambit Trio

Lance Gambit Trio was a British easy listening trio consisting of Lance Gambit, Tommy Monk and Vera Stalk. There is very little information about the group on the internet and their individual names were more likely to be pseudonyms. The trio released one physical album ('Cocktail 2000') in 1997 and a mp3 ('Lance Gambit Presents Danceperience Volume One') in 2002. They also released a couple of singles ('Cocktail 2000 EP' and 'Left Bank 2') between 1997 and 1998.

Links to Peel[]

Peel was a big fan of their debut album, which consisted of all covers, and would play material from that on his shows. So impressed by their spoof cocktail album of well known hits, that he invited the group to do a session for his show, where they performed three tracks. After 1999, Peel did not play anymore material from the group and did not give any airplay from their 2002 mp3 release called 'Lance Gambit Presents Danceperience Volume One'.
