Mary Monday

Mary Elizabeth Inman Monday (2 May 1945 - 30 April 1988) was an American punk singer, who released one single, 'I Gave My Punk Jacket To Rickie / Popgun', in 1977. Her backing group were called The Bitches. She had lived in Alaska for the last six years of her life. [1] Very little information is on the internet about her life and it is not known what she died of.

Peel played both sides of Mary Monday and her group's only release many times on his shows. After his death, it was found that he had a copy of her single in his record box.
