Nicky & the Dots

Nicky & The Dots were a new wave band from Brighton formed in November 1977 by Nick Dwyer and Chris D’Ouseley who met at art college. The group originally consisted of:

  • Nick Dwyer (Lead Vocals)
  • Chris Douseley (Guitar)
  • Paul Clark (Organ)
  • Dave Williams (Bass)
  • Ken Hogg (Drums)

The band only released one single in 1979 before becoming Louder Animal Group.

Peel discovered the band via the compilation album, 'Vaultage 78 - Two Sides Of Brighton'. He would play further material from the group, including a session they recorded for his programme in the summer of 1979.
