Women had an effect on car manufacturers in postwar Britain. The eighth and final programme in the Classic British Cars TV series looks at how the popularity of such cars as the Morris Minor and Standard 8 grew, more women learnt to drive and influenced their husbands' choice. A few concessions were made to women such as the coat hooks in the Triumph Herald and the Riley Elf was marketed as a woman's car.
