Phil Parfitt is the founder/guitarist/vocalist and primary songwriter of the English bands The Varicose Veins, The Architects Of Disaster, Orange Disaster, The Perfect Disaster, Psychotropic Vibration, Oedipussy and Littleweed. He was active from the early '80s through the mid-'90s and was based in the Brighton/Hove area of Sussex, England.
Leaving Sussex for an old mill in France, he has been since 2014 releasing solo material under his own name.

Peel played much of Phil Parfitt's Perfect Disaster group on his radio programmes in the 80's and also played a track from his Oedipussy group in the 90's, which featured contributions from former House of Love and Levitation guitarist Terry Bickers.
