Links to Peel[]
Although not one of the most played band from the era, Peel seemed to take a liking to Prefab Sprout around the early /mid-80s, expecially to their single "Faron Young".
Prefab Sprout recorded one Peel session in 1985, in which they performed what would became their most popular song, "Cars and Girls", a studio version of which was not released until three years later. The session version of the track was repeated in the mid 90s [1]. Apparently, "Lions in My Garden" was John's favorite Prefab Sprout song [2].
