Changes to the look of John Peel Wiki will take place in the near future due to a new skin being rolled out over Oct/Nov across Wikia. Please see the Wikia Staff Blog for further details. On this site, the changes will affect the navigation from the left menu, as well as introduce a fixed page width with narrower content space. Please be patient while adjustments are made for the switch to the new system.

UPDATE: As the change is now in force for some users, I have switched the navigation to the simplified one for the new system. Please check Navigation in the Help section if you can't find things. I also initially made small adjustments to the front page layout, but have now reverted to the old look until all users are on the new system.

COUNTDOWN: Just a reminder for people still using Monaco that the final switch to the new skin is due on Nov. 3. After that, it will no longer be offered as an option. Sorry. Nothing to do with me.

Robert Armani

Robert Armani (real name: Robert Woods) is an American DJ and producer born 6 August 1970 in Chicago. Robert has an expansive Musical career that started at the age of 14 with Djing and remixing from the age of 18. In his cellar Robert started organising parties that became very popular in his neighbourhood. Some of the diehard visitors of Robert basement parties were inspired by him and became also DJs, amongst them was DJ Rush. Robert was going to become a police officer up until he spun abroad in Italy and realized his true passion. It was actually in Italy where his female fans named him Armani because of his designer clothes he loved to wear. Robert’s Influences include Armando, Mike Dunn and Frankie Knuckles. He sees his music sticking with old styles and doing “whatever comes to mind”. Producing with labels including Dance Mania, Pushpac Productions, ACV, Brooklyn Music Limited (BML), High Octane Recordings and many more Armani has captured the ears of fans and promotors all over the world .

Peel first played Robert Armani's record in 1993 and would play further tracks from the DJ/producer on his radio programmes until the late 90's. There is no evidence of Peel playing any further material from Robert Armani after 1999.
