(Background of tape, including who made it, theme if any, notable songs, interesting Peel comments, etc)
In 1967-68 it became a fashion to record folk singer-songwriters with orchestral accompaniment, a trend which began with Judy Collins' album In My Life. On the two LPs mentioned below and on the Peel session, Harper's orchestral backing was supervised by Keith Mansfield, an unlikely collaborator for the singer. Mansfield was a prolific composer of TV themes, including BBC TV's "Grandstand", and an arranger of pop hits by the likes of the Marmalade, Love Affair and Dusty Springfield. He also recorded library music, which was rediscovered by collectors in later decades.
Only two of the tracks are actually from the session advertised, the rest being from records, details to follow
