- (This page is about the German pop rock group. For the record label of the same name, see SST Records).

S.S.T. or SST (also known as Sandra, Susanne, Tanja ) was a German all female sibling pop-rock band from Wiehl, Germany. They were active between 1984 and 1992. The band completed concerts and various German TV appearances and released several records. Most of their records were in German, written mainly by Tanja Trümmel, the eldest of the three sisters and dealt mainly with youth issues, everyday worries, love, school, etc., but also politics and environmental protection. The band name was composed of the first letters of the first names of the three band members, the sisters Sandra, Susanne and Tanja Trümmel, who were only 15, 13 and 9 years old when they released their first single, Tu Tu, in 1986.

SST universe
Peel received a copy of their record in 1988 and after playing their song Universe briefly on his 18 April 1988 show, which was an English language track, talking about the dangers of nuclear weapons, he mentioned sarcastically that they were left wingers:
"Obviously loony lefties, we don't want this kind of subversive thing on the radio that's for sure. Of course, I rather hoping being called S.S.T., they were someway inspired by the label of that name, but quite clearly nothing of the sort, it's Sandra, Susanne and Tanje, members of the band, but I should listen to the rest of it anyway in the privacy of my own home of course"
