(This page is about the London band. For the Dorset band of the same name, see Sink(2)).
Sink were a London-based punk band active from 1987 until 1991. Members throughout the years included Ed Wenn, Paul Duncan, James Kermack, John Ruscoe, Laurence Bell, John Howie Jnr and Pete Whitehouse. After the band split, two of the members, Ed Wenn and Paul Duncan later formed Big Ray, before splitting in the early 00's.
Ed Wenn's previous band, Bad Dress Sense, did a session for Peel's show, which was one of JP's favourite sessions of 1987. When that band split during the summer of 1987, Ed Wenn later joined Sink and Peel kept interest in the new group where he invited the band to do three sessions for his programmes, which they did. After Sink split with Ed Wenn and Paul Duncan forming Big Ray, Peel lost interest in the new formation and didn't play any songs from them on his shows.
